I saw this somewhere and it made me think:

What if 2020 isn't cancelled?

What if 2020 is the year we've been waiting for?

A year so uncomfortable, so painful, so scary, so raw- that it finally FORCES us to grow.

A year that screams so loud, finally awakening us from our ignorant slumber.

A year we finally accept the need for change. 

Declare change. Work for change. Become the change.

A year we finally band together, instead of pushing each other further apart. 

2020 isn't cancelled, but rather the most important year of them all.

Dear Dragon Parents,

We are requesting that all families fill out the survey below to better inform us with your decision regarding the 2020-2021 school year.

 

Survey  Survey is already in English and Spanish so it doesn't need to be translated. 

As of now we do have a few details for opening the school, but they have not been finalized.  If you choose to have your student remain at Suisun Valley we anticipate providing some type of blended educational model next school year.  A blended educational program means that students will spend part of their days/week in classrooms with their teachers and part of the week in a distance learning environment.  Students would possibly have some learning at the school, but not every day.

The Virtual Academy of Fairfield-Suisun is an innovative learning opportunity designed for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade to grow and excel academically. The Virtual Academy offers your student the opportunity to learn the same core curriculum as every other student in the district with the added benefit of participating in a virtual setting. Students in the Virtual Academy will attend live instructional sessions everyday with their classroom teacher. They will also work independently or in small groups to complete projects and assignments.  If your child enrolls in the Virtual Academy this now becomes the student's home school.  Your child will no longer be enrolled at Suisun Valley.

Many parents have expressed "What if I am a full time working parent and do not have access to child care during the distance learning school days"?  I understand your concerns, but as of now these are the options that have been offered by the District.
